A lease extension has been signed by the Los Angeles Sparks with Crypto.com Arena

The Los Angeles Sparks have announced a five-year extension with AEG, the owners of Crypto.com Arena, which will allow them to continue playing their home games at this state-of-the-art facility until 2029. This agreement strengthens the longstanding partnership between the Sparks and the distinguished downtown Los Angeles arena.

The Sparks, one of the original eight teams in the WNBA since their inception in 1996, have been based in the arena since 2001. During this time, they have celebrated three league championships, seen six players awarded Most Valuable Player honors, claimed two Rookie of the Year awards, received two Coach of the Year recognitions, and experienced landmark events such as Lisa Leslie’s groundbreaking first dunk in WNBA history.

Founded in 1996 as part of the WNBA’s original eight teams, the Sparks have resided in the arena since 2001. Over the years, they have secured three league championships, had six players win Most Valuable Player awards, achieved two Rookie of the Year honors, earned two Coach of the Year awards, and witnessed pivotal moments, including Lisa Leslie’s historic first dunk in the league.
